KP & TSoul Opening For Bilal at Howard Theatre, 5.10.26

On Sunday, May 10, 2026, I had the incredible chance to perform with KP and TSoul at The Howard Theatre in Washington, DC. We opened for Bilal, and the lineup also included Jane Handcock and rising artist Ikea Damone. The show was fantastic from start to finish, with every performer delivering an outstanding performance! Our set featured our rendition of Skip Marley & H.E.R.'s single "Slow Down," followed by original songs from KP ("Let's Stay Together," "Lay In") and TSoul ("Best Of Me," "Feels So Good To Love Somebody"). The band consisted of Calvin Hinton on guitar, and I played keyboards and managed playback. The audience reacted enthusiastically, and we received praise from the other acts backstage! We were followed by the emerging artist Ikea Damone, who, along with her live band, maintained a smooth, soulful atmosphere. Next was Death Row recording artist Jane Handcock, accompanied by DJ Miss H.E.R. Handcock delivered a set of her hits, including her popular track "Stingy," which was a crowd favorite! The headliner, Bilal, and his live band concluded the show brilliantly with his hit single "Soul Sista." Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I was thankful to be part of such a remarkable event!
